Abstract  By studying on the classification of tourism resources, the author considers that tourism resources of mountainous area are the most important tourism resources. There are so many mountainous areas in our county that they make tourism resources of our country the most plentiful. In comparison with other geomorphic types, tourism resources of mountainous area have many special characteristics such as multiplicity, multidimensional, conglomeration, composite, frangibility, and irretrievability, as well as obvious zonal distribution. During the exploitation of mountainous tourism resources and construction of scenic spot, the author points out that we must attach importance to the protective exploitation in the right perspective and the analysis of psychological trend of tourists.
